Selling your home can be fraught with problems at the best of times and the whole process can be both difficult and stressful.  Most house sales will usually involve a chain of buyers ranging from the first time buyer property right through to the middle value homes and onto the country house buyers at the top of the chain.

In my previous employment as an estate agent, I found that many chains broke down.  Typically, this was a result of the vendors at the bottom of the chain losing their buyer.  First time buyers would frequently be put off buying a property after having a survey – even though to an experienced buyer there was largely nothing wrong with the property!  There is also a strong likelihood of large chains breaking down for a variety of reasons.

The disappointment that can result when a chain breaks down is immense.  People fear they are going to lose their dream home and this is even more frustrating when the sale is close to an exchange of contracts.  There is also the nightmare scenario of having to put your property back on the market and find another buyer, which can take several months.
